What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!)

The Software Engineer will play a key role in building and sustaining a mission-focused enterprise web application deployed in a containerized Kubernetes Linux environment. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with Product Owners, System Engineers, and Software Engineers to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and enhance critical software capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Linux, Python, Bash scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, SQL, REST interfaces, and CI/CD practices to help deliver reliable, scalable, and secure solutions that directly support mission success.

Required Skills

  • Experience using the Linux CLI and Tool Suite
  • Experience developing Bash/Python scripts
  • Experience developing with Python in a Linux environment
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
  • Experience with SQL technologies such as MySQL
  • Experience with designing and implementing REST interfaces
  • Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
  • Experience with Git Source Control System.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with the Django Web framework
  • Experience with the Celery Task Scheduler
  • Experience with NGINX
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with AI Development Tools such as Claude Code
  • Fluent in sarcasm, kindness, and the occasional office banter
